NYPD: Woman killed in Brooklyn street shooting

NEW YORK (AP) — Police say a shooting on a street in Brooklyn has killed a 53-year-old woman and wounded a man.

It happened just after 11:30 a.m. Monday in Coney Island.

Police say two men were arguing with each other when one of them pulled out a gun and fired several shots.

Police say Dorothy Dixon, of Brooklyn, was struck in the torso and died.

The second victim was struck in the leg.

The two men fled the scene.
