Arconic: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

NEW YORK (AP) _ Arconic Inc. (ARNC) on Friday reported fourth-quarter net income of $218 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

The New York-based company said it had net income of 44 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 33 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 30 cents per share.

The maker of engineered products for the aerospace and other industries posted revenue of $3.47 billion in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $3.41 billion.
