[Men's Basketball] MBB Tournament Starts Thursday

Madonna comes in as the second seed after winning a tiebreaker with Indiana Tech based on head-to-head records. The Crusaders defeated Tech, the third seed, twice in the regular season for the nod as they both ended with 15-5 WHAC records. Siena Heights claimed the fourth spot with a 12-8 league mark and Rochester took the fifth seed at 9-11 based on a tiebreaker over No. 6 Lourdes. The final two spots were also decided by a tiebreaker as Lawrence Tech and UM-Dearborn had identical 8-12 league records with LTU grabbing the seventh seed based on a win over higher-seeded Madonna to put UM-Dearborn as the eighth seed.

The winner of the tournament that starts Feb. 21 on the campus of the higher seeds earns the WHAC's second automatic berth to the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball National Championship.
