UN Warns Malawi Against Child Labor on Tobacco Farms
Despite abolishing a tenancy system last year that was blamed for fueling child labor, Malawi has 3,000 children working in its tobacco industry, according to a United Nations report. On Wednesday, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights released a statement expressing concern about the findings of the report.
