Help with a crazy idea...

So I find myself between jobs and with most of July free.

My eldest daughter has studied French at high school for the last 3 years and finished grade 10 with straight A's.

Here's the crazy idea.... why not take her on a lightning fast trip to France for a week !?!

Here are the constraints. I have not made any bookings yet, nothing like a last minute dash! I have to be back in the USA by July 27th.

I have to spend 3 days (or so) in Paris - I've given her the task of selecting the places she wants to go see.

But we haven't gotten to my crazy idea yet ....

How crazy would it be to try to squeeze in one day absorbing the TDF ?

Would it even be possible to find my way to the side of the road of stage 18 somewhere worthwhile ?

If you have ideas of suggestions on this crazy idea, please let me know - and fast ! We're planning to book everything this week.
