[Women's Soccer] Women's Soccer Falcons Chosen Fourth in KCAC Preseason Poll
WICHITA, Kan. – The KCAC Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll is out, and the Friends University Falcons have been predicted to finish in the fourth spot for the third consecutive season, the league announced today.
The Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes, last year's regular season and conference tournament champions, have been picked to successfully defend their title this season.
The Coyotes collected 11 first-place tallies, while Oklahoma Wesleyan University came in second and received a pair of first-place votes.
Just ahead of the Falcons in third was Ottawa University, who finished with 112 points in the poll, one more than the Falcons' 111 points.
The Falcons, under the guidance of sixth-year head coach Brent Hobson, have hosted a KCAC postseason tourney match in each of the past three seasons.
Friends will open the 2019 season on Aug. 30 at (RV) Missouri Baptist University and will open up the home slate on Sept. 7 vs. Culver-Stockton College.
The Falcons begin the KCAC schedule at home vs. Avila University on Sept. 24 at Adair-Austin Stadium.
