Premier League Matchweek 5 odds and betting trends
Leicester City faces a tough road test on Saturday against Manchester United at Old Trafford as clear underdogs on the Premier League betting lines.
With a record of 2-2-0 through its first four games, Leicester City is one of only three teams in the English Premier League along with Liverpool (4-0-0) and Manchester City (3-1-0) that is still undefeated. Leicester City will try to extend its unbeaten streak on Saturday on the road against Manchester United.
Leicester City is a +355 road underdog on the Premier League odds in Manchester at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The club opened the season with back-to-back draws against Wolverhampton and Chelsea before winning each of its last two games against Sheffield United and Bournemouth. Manchester United (-120 to win, +275 to draw) is 17-3-1 in its last 21 games against Leicester City.
Liverpool and Manchester City are both massive favorites this Saturday. Liverpool is going off at -750 at home against Newcastle United (+1700 to win, +750 to draw) while Manchester City is a -700 road favorite against Norwich City (+1400 to win, +800 to draw). Chelsea hosts Liverpool next Sunday in what will be a much bigger test than Newcastle. Manchester City on the other hand doesn’t have anything to look ahead to as it will face last-place Watford next week.
Both Chelsea (1-2-1) and Wolverhampton (0-3-1) are off to disappointing starts to the 2019-20 EPL season, and they’ll look to turn things around as the Wolves (+195 to win, +230 to draw) host Chelsea (+145) on Saturday. Wolverhampton performed well against Chelsea last season, playing the club to a draw on the road and winning at home 2-1. Before those two games, Chelsea had been 10-0-1 in its previous 11 games against Wolverhampton.
Crystal Palace is off to a strong start in 2019 with a 2-1-1 record through its first four matches. Palace has scored only three goals through its first four games, but has allowed a Premier League low two goals over that span with two clean sheets. The team’s most impressive result came in a 2-1 road upset over Manchester United last month. Crystal Palace will try to pull off another road upset on Saturday as +650 underdogs on the road against Tottenham (-275 to win, +390 to draw).
