Appeals court throws out California ban on high-capacity magazines

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday struck down California’s ban on high-capacity ammunition magazines, calling the law a violation of Americans’ Second Amendment rights. “Even well-intentioned laws must pass constitutional muster,” appellate Judge Kenneth Lee wrote in the 2-1 decision.
