DTM expands tyre monitoring capability with Tyrewatch buy

Tyre management firm DTM has acquired TyreWatch in a move it said would provide customers with a more tailored service.

Backed by Palatine Private Equity, DTM said the acquisition of the real-time tyre monitoring company bolsters its existing service, by using intelligent solutions to detect tyre problems before they become obvious during daily visual inspections.

John Matthews, DTM MD, said: “DTM and TyreWatch have a shared strategy and passion to support our customers in increasing vehicle productivity, maintaining compliance and pro-actively minimising the environmental impact of their fleet operations through reduced waste and improved fuel consumption.”

Palatine added that the purchase of TyreWatch was “well-timed”, as the industry tightens its focus on reducing cost, downtime and its environmental impact.
