Noel Gallagher says Liam is a lightweight as he reveals The Crown’s Matt Smith is his top boozing buddy
NOEL Gallagher says actor Matt Smith is his rowdiest celebrity pal — while Coldplay’s Chris Martin prefers to eat seeds.
The Oasis legend, 54, revealed ex-Doctor Who star Matt lays into the furniture when boozed.
He said: “He supports Blackburn Rovers, right? And a couple of times, he kind of just does that thing where he’ll drift off and then go ‘Rovers!’ and kick a chair.
“He’s turned furniture over in my house.”
He also spoke admiringly of U2 frontman Bono’s drunken antics, saying: “He can put a shift in, no messing. He’s Irish.” However he told how he visited clean-living Coldplay’s dressing room and saw “seeds and pulses”.
He recalled: “I said to the tour manager, ‘They having a gardening class?’”
Noel was asked to rank his pals’ hellraising abilities on his new Radio X show, which he hosts every Sunday from 7-9pm.

And he mocked his estranged “charlatan” brother Liam, saying: “A lot of them in the game can’t walk it like they talk it.
“It’s usually those with the big mouths.”
