[WHAC] UM-Dearborn Hires Kornacki as SID
DEARBORN, Mich. - (UM-Dearborn Release) - Steve Kornacki joins the UM-Dearborn athletics department as its Sports Information Director & Wellness Center Coordinator. Kornacki spent six years (2014-2020) as the University of Michigan athletic department's website feature writer and columnist at MGoBlue.com.
Kornacki has won numerous national and state writing awards for the Detroit Free Press, Tampa Tribune, Orlando Sentinel, MLive.com, Ann Arbor News, Oakland Press, Key West Citizen and the website at FOX Sports Detroit – where he also appeared as a studio guest and did podcasts from spring training with the Tigers. He was the Detroit correspondent for Sports Illustrated and has authored three books on the Wolverines – one of which was co-authored with his son, Derek.
