Animal Crossing: All New Fish In February 2022 (& What Left)

0

New fish arrive in Animal Crossing: New Horizons for February 2022. As new fish are introduced into the game, older ones are replaced to make room. While Animal Crossing has been out for nearly two years now, collecting every fish and bug has still been a struggle for some. Many bugs and fish only appear during specific times of the year under certain weather circumstances. With February kicking off, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is starting to melt the snow and introduce the world back into Spring.

It's important to mention that the list of available fish will be different depending on the player's geographic region. Animal Crossing: New Horizons' seasons are broken up into two geographic categories, southern and northern hemispheres. This is a decision the player makes at the start of their tropical vacation and it directly affects the types of creatures that will spawn during these periods. Players looking to collect every fish for their museum will need to play all year round, or change the time of day by entering their Nintendo Switch settings.

The northern hemisphere is barely getting any new content in Animal Crossing: New Horizons in February 2022. There's only a single bug being added to the game during this period. Although, the southern hemisphere does get a handful of new fish and sea creatures. Each one has its own spawn time, rarity, and location. It's important to collect them all before the end of the month.

As mentioned, there is no new content for Animal Crossing: New Horizons players in the northern hemisphere. The Pong Smelt and the Blowfish are the only two creatures leaving the game. These are the fish that will spawn in the southern hemisphere this month.

  • Soft-Shelled Turtle: It's an uncommon spawn that will appear in rivers from 4 pm to 9 am. It sells for 3750 Bells.
  • Moray Eel: It's a rare spawn that appears at all hours of the day in the ocean. It sells for 2000 Bells.
  • Ray: It's a rare spawn that appears from 4 am to 9 pm in the ocean. It will sell for 3000 Bells.
  • Flatworm: It's a common spawn that will appear in the ocean from 4 pm to 9 am. It's a sea creature and will sell for 700 Bells.

Southern hemisphere players will lose the Squid, Forg, Napoleonfish, Killifish, and Frog in February. There are tons of different ways to get more bells in Animal Crossing: New Horizons including selling these sea creatures. The other option is to put them on display within the town's museum for Blathers. It's even possible to put them on display around the town. Regardless, those looking to complete their Critterpedia will need to collect them all. Hopefully, northern hemisphere players will have something new to chew on next month.
