The Konyak Union abstained from the April 4 consultative meeting. The Union stated that the Konyaks will continue to demand justice over the Oting incident of December 4, 2021, in which 14 innocent youths were massacred. Although the government had constituted a committee on Afspa and an SIT was instituted, its reports have still not been made public.
