RHONJ: Why Fans Think Teresa Was Trying To Recreate The Table Flip
Teresa Giudice recently flipped out on her castmate Margaret Josephs in the latest episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 12, and fans think she’s trying to recreate the dramatic table flip from season 1. Before their feud, Teresa and Margaret have been good friends since the latter joined the RHONJ cast in season 8. However, their friendship took a hit when Teresa egged on former RHONJ star Danielle Staub to pull Margaret’s hair during a fight. Teresa apologized for it after the fact, saying that she was just caught up in the moment.
Margaret seemed to forgive Teresa for the incident, but this season, Teresa became increasingly enraged when Margaret kept asking questions about her fiancé Luis Ruela’s past. Luis has been in the headlines multiple times since he and Teresa went public in 2020. His ex-fiancé has a lawsuit filed against him and has alleged that he was abusive during their relationship. Luis is also currently facing a few lawsuits by companies claiming he owes them hundreds of thousands of dollars. Although Margaret was simply asking out of concern, Teresa accused her of popping her “love bubble” and warned her to stop digging into Luis’ past.
In the most recent episode of RHONJ, the cast went on a trip to Nashville, Tennessee. During dinner, Teresa could not let her anger towards Margaret go and took the opportunity to call Margaret out, accusing her of talking to Luis’ ex-fiancé and the tabloids. Margaret called Teresa a “sick, disgusting liar,” which caused Teresa to sweep all the contents of the table toward Margaret. Drinks and tableware went flying everywhere while the RHONJ cast looked on, horrified. Reddit user blazelmg wrote, “Do I feel sorry for Marge? No she has done the same people forget her violence.” Another RHONJ fan responded, “This felt so much to me like Theresa trying to recreate her famous table flipping scene. She’s just making sure she earns that Housewives check.”
Many RHONJ fans agreed that Teresa was trying to make her mark as the “table flipper.” One Reddit user commented, “She’s marking her territory. ‘I’m the table flipper, this is my show,’ and of course everyone knows what happened to the last person she flipped a table on. Teresa is on a mission to get her off the show now.” Some fans thought Margaret, who is a powerhouse on RHONJ, had it coming, and a fan stated, “Should Teresa have thrown the glass? Probably not. Do I have any sympathy for Margaret? NONE whatsoever.” Another responded with, “Exactly both can be true.”
RHONJ fans are split on whether they stand with Teresa or Margaret. Margaret has been accused of being a pot-stirrer and using Teresa and Luis for her storyline this season. However, many RHONJ viewers think that Teresa is out of control and flies into a rage if anyone questions her relationship with Luis. After the table fight, Teresa claimed she was done with Margaret, and sadly, it may likely be that their friendship is over. Whether or not Teresa cleared the table for ratings, fans can’t deny she makes for good television on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
