Where The Cast Of Superstore Is In 2022 | Screen Rant
Set in a fictional big-box store in Missouri, Superstore chronicles the day-to-day lives of that store's employees. Dealing with rude customers and heartless corporations, Superstore covers everything from labor unions to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the show ended in 2021, fans have been missing their favorite characters from the Ozark Highlands branch of Cloud 9.
Luckily, almost every major and recurring actor from the show has had or will have projects in 2022. While it may be a long while before there's even talk of a possible reunion for the show, fans can still find these familiar faces elsewhere.
America Ferrera played floor supervisor turned executive Amy Sosa. The main character for five out of six seasons, Amy worked at Cloud 9 since she was a teen before finally leaving the store and the show for a corporate position out in Los Angeles. While fans are still divided on whether Betty Suarez or Amy Sosa was Ferrera's best role, Amy remains iconic.
Ferrera has had a long career prior to Superstore, with roles such as Carmen in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and Betty in Ugly Betty. In 2022, she can be found in the Apple TV+ drama WeCrashed.
Ben Feldman portrayed business school dropout turned Cloud 9 employee Jonah Simms with enough earnestness to still make his more cringe-inducing moments somewhat endearing. One half of the power couple that is Jonah and Amy, Feldman was the slightly unconventional but convincing leading man of the show.
In addition to his role as Jonah, Feldman has had recurring roles on shows such as Mad Men and Silicon Valley, as well as movie roles in Cloverfield and As Above, So Below. In 2022, he can be found in the Showtime series Super Pumped: The Battle For Uber.
No one could have portrayed Mateo Liwanag the way Nico Santos did. Mateo constantly strived to overachieve as an employee of Cloud 9 and was a great friend to characters like Cheyenne and Amy. Santos not only portrayed the humorous aspects of Mateo well, but also nailed the more serious moments of his struggles with his undocumented status.
Santos had a breakout role in the blockbuster film Crazy Rich Asians and also starred in Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 with former Superstore co-star Lauren Ash. As of 2022 according to IMDb, he has two movies in post-production, The Re-Education of Molly Singer and Happiness For Beginners.
Dina Fox had by far the best work ethic out of all the employees of Cloud 9 on Superstore. Dina started off the show as the all-business assistant manager, but over time became a good best friend to Amy and formed an interesting relationship with Garrett. As a loyal employee until the end, Lauren Ash played Dina with a mix of comical intensity and genuine emotion.
Ash has had roles in shows like Super Fun Night and in movies like Paul Blart Mall Cop 2. In 2022, she can be found in a voice role on the Netflix adult animation show Chicago Party Aunt with her former Superstore co-star Jon Barinholtz.
Colton Dunn portrayed Garrett McNeil with just the right amount of snark to still be likable. Garrett was the perpetual underachieving employee of Cloud 9, preferring to do the bare minimum and just get by as the store announcer. He exhibited more depth through his friendship with Jonah and relationship with Dina, and in the end, showed how he actually cared for the people he works with.
Dunn has previously had a recurring role in Parks and Recreation, as well as starred in and written for the show Key and Peele. In 2022, Dunn can be found in a recurring role on the comedy series Pivoting. In addition to acting, he was a writer for the film Jackass Forever, also released in 2022.
Nichole Sakura played Cheyenne Thompson with the perfect mix of ditziness and sincerity. She came a long way throughout the course of the show, from an immature pregnant high schooler to a married woman and great employee. With Mateo and Amy, Cheyenne was part of some of the best friendships on Superstore and had many hilarious moments.
In addition to her role in Superstore, Sakura had a recurring role on the show Shameless and appeared in the film Teenage Cocktail. She has been in the ABC comedy series Maggie since 2021. As of 2022, the show has moved to Hulu.
Mark McKinney portrayed the perennially positive Glenn Sturgis with affable perfection throughout Superstore's six seasons. Glenn was a devout Christian who was the manager of the store until season 4 when he demoted himself to focus on being a father to a newborn.
McKinney has had a long career in TV, film, and sketch comedy. He starred in the sketch series The Kids In The Hall featuring his comedy troupe of the same name, and in Saturday Night Live. His most recent role has been in the 2021 Amazon revival of The Kids In The Hall.
One of the funniest characters in Superstore, Marcus White often got into disastrous hijinks due to his dim-wittedness. Jon Barinholtz played Marcus as a doofus that viewers couldn't help but like during his run as the Cloud 9 employee turned warehouse supervisor.
Barinholtz has had roles in the show The Mindy Project and the movie The Oath. He can be found in 2022 on the Netflix adult animation show Chicago Party Aunt with his former Superstore co-star Lauren Ash, where he is also credited as a co-creator.
Johnny Pemberton made his screen-time count as Cheyenne's husband and wannabe-rapper Bo Thompson. Often spouting a hilariously bad rap whenever he visited the store, Bo still managed to have genuine moments where he was a loving boyfriend-turned-husband to Cheyenne.
In addition to Superstore, Pemberton has had roles in the films 21 Jump Street, 22 Jump Street, and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising. According to IMDb, as of 2022 he has completed filming the movie Unplugging.
As the former methamphetamine addict Isaac, Steve Agee has mastered many roles as the bumbling, slightly irritable giant. Initially hired as a seasonal worker, Isaac later becomes a full-time employee, although showing no improvement in work quality. Often rude and crass to his co-workers, Agee played Isaac as a not necessarily likable but still entertaining character.
Agee has been in the film The Suicide Squad as John Economos. In 2022, he can be found on the HBO Max show Peacemaker, reprising his role from The Suicide Squad.
