I’m a dog trainer – 3 breeds I don’t recommend, the second is beautiful but they’re too smart for their own good

A DOG trainer has warned potential canine owners about certain breeds that might have them biting off more than they can chew.

He cautioned that while some of the dogs might look striking, they have surprisingly hard-to-manage behaviors.

“The top three dog breeds I would not recommend as a professional in the industry,” said Jack (@cowboythecattledog).

He started by pointing out potential problem behaviors with the Chow Chow.

“They’re a little aloof, very stubborn, hard to train and they don’t really like strangers,” the trainer and dog supplement company owner explained.

One more thing to remember – they also don’t get along well with other canine companions.

Next on the list was the husky – he doesn’t want you to be taken in by their handsomeness.

“They are notoriously beautiful animals, but again very hard to train. They are too smart for their own good. And if that front door is open boy, they are going to be running all the way to the North Pole.”

The medium-sized dog is also one of the most common canines that wind up in shelters.

Many dog owners don’t realize what they are getting into when they decide on the breed strictly for their appearance.

At least one follower understood the draw to the husky which usually ends in disaster.

“Agreed. Huskies are difficult. I have had friends complain and I just tell them maybe you shouldn’t have bought off looks,” said the viewer.

The last of the breeds he warned against was the Belgian Malinois.

He warned that just because you might see them on TV training with police and military if you do not fall into these two groups, you probably should pick an easier-to-handle animal.

“Unless you are using them to hunt terrorists down, or you want to get a new full-time job, I highly suggest against it,” Jack joked.

He explained how most people are just not prepared to deal with their intensity which should be left to the professionals.
