‘Survivor 45’ preview: Emily Flippen admits her game is ‘do or die right now’ [WATCH]
One of the most talked-about contestants from the “Survivor 45” season premiere was Emily Flippen of the Lulu tribe. The 28-year-old investment analyst from Maryland decided to audition for the CBS reality TV show because she got “really angry” when Mike Gabler won “Survivor 43.” Now it’s Emily who’s causing some fans’ blood to boil at home. The villainess made headlines in the first episode for the way she went after Bruce Perreault on Day 1, and for falsely accusing her tribe mates Kaleb Gebrewold and Sabiyah Broderick of lying about losing the “Sweat and Savvy” challenge.
The second episode, which airs Wednesday, October 4 on CBS, will focus more on Emily as she admits her game is “do or die right now.” Below, watch the “Survivor 45” preview video for “Brought a Bazooka to a Tea Party,” in which Emily decides to go on an idol hunt on Day 4.

“I can’t just sit around and do nothing,” Emily tells the camera as she searches for an advantage. “So I need to do something to at least make myself feel better. And I need to just keep looking, to the extent that I can without it being suspicious.”
Back at the Lulu camp, Kaleb, Sabiyah, Brandon Donlon and Sean Edwards have noticed Emily’s absence and suspect the truth. “Emily’s probably digging right now,” notes Kaleb. “So an option would be to do an idol search in pairs or in teams, so that way somebody has an eye on her. Seriously, Emily’s looking right now. She’s already searching so we might as well find her.”
That fuels an immediate camp-wide idol hunt, with all five Lulu members running through the jungle. Brandon narrates, “Emily is desperate and she’s looking for the idol. That’s not good. She is now public enemy number-one.” He adds, “We were kind of running around like chickens with our heads cut off, searching for Emily. But really, I would love to go find that idol. I know how to find these idols. I’ve watched people find these idols. I know the strategy. Not only did I want to get it, I just didn’t want Emily to get it.”
