The BJP has accused the Congress party of having corruption ingrained in its DNA, linking it to a contractor who allegedly had Rs 42 crore in cash recovered from his premises by the Income Tax Department. Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar claimed that the contractor, Ambikapathy, had written to the Prime Minister last year labelling the previous BJP government in Karnataka as a "40 per cent commission government".
