Tesco instantly divides opinion with a new ‘Value’ oodie – some want it for Christmas while others say it’s ‘too much’
THEIR ‘Value’ Christmas jumper was a huge hit last year.
And now Tesco are hoping for similar success with a new oodie, which recently hit shop shelves.
The £15 snuggly top is in the supermarket’s colours of blue, white and red, and features a huge “Tesco Value” slogan on the front.
Debbie snapped one up for her son, and shared the purchase on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook.
“Perfect for my son for Christmas to go with his value socks,” she wrote.
“And just to let people know, no gingers were hurt in this purchase as he has a sense of humour and will actually wear it!”
The post instantly sparked debate, with people divided as to whether or not they like it.
Some insisted they needed to go to Tesco immediately, while others said it was the perfect Secret Santa gift.
“Love it,” one wrote.
“Are they adults or kids? I need to find it,” another asked.
With Debbie replying: “Definitely adults, only one size and it’s huge!”
“My son wants one, he’s also one of the weirdos that bought the primark/Greggs stuff (only to wear indoors),” a third commented.
“We did the same for my son last year when primark did the Greggs stuff, he has Gregg’s pyjamas, socks the lot!” someone else laughed.
“For secret santa?” another wrote, tagging their friend.
“Hope I get u in secret santa!” someone else joked.
“I love it! I’d wear it if I had 1!” another commented.
“I had the Xmas jumper 1 year for work,” someone else said.
“My daughter works in a tesco express, she said she’d wear one in work cos she’s always cold,” another wrote.
“My son has the socks, and he is getting the T-shirt for his birthday, I think I need one of these for his birthday too,” someone else laughed.
“I saw this other day and found it hilarious!! Actually considering getting my 12 year old it,” another said.

While another said: “My hubby has the value Christmas jumper,& he wears it every year.”
“Omg we need matching Tesco value oodies for our matching socks,” someone else wrote.
But others weren’t quite sure about the new product, with one asking: “Would this be too much??”
