Nigel Farage blows his vow to quit booze ahead of I’m Celeb – downing drink on the plane there
NIGEL Farage has blown his vow to quit booze ahead of I’m A Celebrity — downing a G&T on the plane there.
The beer-loving politician promised to swap ale for orange juice to prepare for his stint in the Australian jungle.
But arriving yesterday at Brisbane Airport, he admitted: “That was the plan, to go teetotal, I did it for a week. But yes, I might have lapsed on the plane.”
Farage, 59, also asked his driver to pull over for a cigarette — at a nearby McDonald’s.
The Brexiteer’s booze u-turn could have been to steady his nerves, as he confessed he was “terrified of everything in Australia”.
His arrival confirms our story that he is in this year’s line-up Down Under, despite him once claiming taking part in reality TV was “humiliating”.
He said: “I can’t confirm I am doing it but I might be.”
He was followed into arrivals by fellow contestant and social media star Nella Rose, 24, wearing big sunglasses and a gilet with designer logos.
But disaster struck when her car drove off as her luggage was being loaded.
She claimed: “I’m just here for a holiday.”
TV favourites Josie Gibson, 38, and Fred Sirieix, 51, were also spotted at Heathrow.
