After the Buzzer – Vipers Blanked By Backs

Salmon Arm, BC:  Ethan David gave it everything he had, but the Vipers offense couldn’t find their footing as they saw their 4-game win streak come to an end after a 4-0 loss in Salmon Arm.

Ethan David made 39 saves on 43 shots, his best of the night coming late in the game on a Cole Cooksey breakaway.

It was a rare time where the Vipers seemed out of sorts.  They faced adversity losing two bodies in the first and second periods and essentially playing the rest of the game with three lines.

Vernon’s penalty kill was 2 of 3.

Ty Paisley, Jacob Bonkowski, Isaac Lambert and Maddux Martin had the goals for Salmon Arm.

Eli Pulver made a couple of big saves especially in the first 40 minutes.  He finished with 21 saves for his first shutout of the season and 8th of his career.

With the win, the Silverbacks have won four in a row.

The Vipers road trip will continue on Friday night when they head to Merritt to take on the Centennials.
