Two individuals, Rahul Lohar and Dev Ranjan Das, died by suicide in West Bengal's Bankura and Odisha's Jajpur after India lost to Australia in the cricket World Cup final. Lohar, 23, took the extreme step near a cinema hall after the loss, while Das, also 23, was found hanging from his terrace in Odisha's Binjharpur area.
