OnlyFans model ‘threatened tax officials who started looking into her earnings’
An OnlyFans model has been blocked from harassing tax officials after she threatened to release their personal details while under investigation.
Adult entertainer Amy Spencer and her accountant Dr Robert Milton threatened HMRC officers online alongside making ‘false allegations’, the tax body claims.
The pair’s behaviour came after tax officials launched an investigation into one of Miss Spencer’s companies.
They were said to have threatened to use ‘tracing agents’ to find the officers’ home addresses, dates of birth causing the employees ‘alarm and distress’.
The pair are also accused of threatening to video tax officers and ‘identify them publicly on a website targeting them’.
They also encouraged Miss Spencer’s fans to ‘take action’ against HMRC employees, the court was told.
Miss Spencer and Dr Milton have both denied wrongdoing and sought to blame the glamour model’s thousands of fans, HMRC’s legal team said.
Kate Wilson, representing HMRC, said Miss Spencer and her adviser had never explained how their view that the model ‘owed only £3,000 in unpaid taxes, fits with her receipt of the equivalent of £404,225.40 from her OnlyFans activities between November 2018 and March 2021’.
A judge at the High Court, Richard Spearman KC, renewed a temporary injunction against the duo at a hearing in London on Friday.
The court order prevents the pair – who did not attend the hearing – from releasing HMRC officers’ information and requires them to disclose what personal details they may have shared with others.
In August 2022, HMRC opened an investigation into another of Dr Milton’s clients, a company identified only as YCX, over whether income and tax were being under-reported.
During the probe, Dr Milton allegedly threatened tax officers ‘Balkans-based agents would engage UK surveillance operators to engage in surveillance to obtain photographs of them’ and that their personal information would be published on websites ‘in order to hold them accountable’.
According to one officer, this ‘demonstrates a pattern of behaviour by Dr Milton aimed at using threats and intimidation to resolve disputes with HMRC in his client’s favour’.
Ms Wilson said Dr Milton had warned of ‘severest consequences’ for HMRC officers, telling them: ‘Please seek to do the worst that you possible can to ourselves and Miss Spencer. And let us see who is the last man standing.’
The HMRC barrister said Dr Milton and Miss Spencer wanted the injunction lifted and denied possessing any officer’s personal data or instructing anyone to obtain it.
The pair placed ‘all responsibility’ on the model’s followers, with Miss Spencer attributing actions to fans not on adult entertainment website OnlyFans but on ‘other video platforms’, the court was told.
Ms Wilson said HMRC’s case was for the ‘protection of… officers from intrusion and threats in order that (HMRC) can both carry out its statutory duties and protect its staff from unwarranted conduct’.
