Murray: We'll Take Learnings Into Next Week
Despite a spirited performance, Hibs fell to a 3-0 defeat to Rangers at Meadowbank.
Club captain Joelle Murray remained buoyant in spite of the loss to the league leaders, opting instead to praise certain positive elements of Hibs' game.
"It’s obviously disappointing, we never want to lose," Murray told Hibs TV.
"We’d never celebrate a defeat but there were positives to take.
"When you saw us with our feet on the ball, building from Nina, playing inside and down the line, playing with a bit of confidence; you can see the real quality there.
"It’s just doing that on a consistent basis. So, it’s disappointing but there are a lot of positives to take."
Murray, who is now just two games away from reaching a legendary milestone of 500 Hibs appearances, also looked ahead to next weekend's rematch in the Scottish Cup.
"It’s a test. Next week it’s a different entity, the Scottish Cup. You’re either in or out at the end of the day.
"We’ll take today’s learnings into next week and we’ll try to adjust things to try and get that success, especially at the top end of the pitch.
"Defensively, as a unit, we were very good. It’s just making sure in the final third, when we make those entries, that we are more clinical."
