The southwest monsoon is expected to advance into the South Andaman Sea, Southeast Bay of Bengal, and Nicobar Islands around May 19. A cyclonic circulation is likely over south interior Tamil Nadu and its surrounding areas, with widespread light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds.
