This column has two parts. The first, for this 80th Anniversary of "D-Day," June 6, 1944, when Allied forces landed on beaches on France's Normandy Peninsula, presents some personal recollections from my childhood and very briefly, some of the history of the time. The second part deals with Trump and his trials, and the essentially fascist-program responses coming forth from him and his troops, in the field and in politics.
