NATIONAL SUMMARY
A clipper storm will travel along the Canada border from
near the Great Lakes to northern New England today. Most of
the accumulating snow is forecast to fall on Canada, but
there will be up to a few inches in the northern parts of
Michigan, New York and New England. A wintry mix is in store
farther to the south from Wisconsin to central New England
with rain showers for the Ohio Valley, mid-Atlantic, the
southern part of New England and a portion of the central
Appalachians on south to the Gulf Coast. Thunderstorms are
forecast to erupt in the Carolinas. Much of the rest of the
nation will have a dry, sunny day. Exceptions will be spotty
showers in South Florida and the southern part of Texas.
Warmth will continue in the Southwest as winds kick up in
coastal Southern California with a wildfire risk.
