Unofficial of course, but as of Tuesday night we can no longer be mathematically relegated, and therefore the clause of Sampsted's loan being made permanent provided we avoid being relegated will be triggered.

I'd like to see him get a few more minutes during the remainder of the season, but Laird is so crucial to the way we play. Sampsted stylistically is a very different RB so not exactly a like for like replacement.

Every chance we move him on come the summer despite seemingly tied in to signing him permanently.
