Kazakhstan and Morocco signed agreements on extradition of criminals
Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstan has agreed on the extradition of criminals with another country, according to the Prosecutor General's Office.
During talks between Kazakhstan’s General Prosecutor Berik Asylov and Morocco's Minister of Justice Abdellatif Ouahbi, issues of bilateral cooperation in combating crime, ensuring legality, and international security were discussed.
"The outcome of the meeting was the signing of intergovernmental agreements on the extradition of criminals, legal assistance in criminal matters, and the transfer of convicted persons," the statement said.
It is noted that this agreement is significant due to Morocco's geographical location, which serves as a route connecting Africa with Europe through the Strait of Gibraltar.
Agreements were also signed between Kazakhstan and Peru on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, extradition, and the transfer of convicted persons. Vietnam will also extradite criminals to Kazakhstan.
