The mansion of the Russian hemp tycoon was offered to rent for Christmas
The mansion of the Russian businessman Yevgeny Skigin, who because of his field of activity is also called the hemp magnate, was offered to rent for the Christmas holidays. For a week of living on a site in the Australian state of Queensland, tenants will have to pay 80 thousand dollars (almost six million rubles), according to NewsMail.
Skigin’s lot is one of the most expensive Christmas rentals in the country. According to realtor Sue Willis, who is looking for tenants, the mansion is in high demand among wealthy Australians. On different dates, three families have already paid for the house for the holidays, but Willis did not reveal their names. The realtor noted that when booking such properties, tenants want to find something that would remind them of a yacht charter in the Mediterranean.
The mansion with an area of 1.4 thousand square meters, which is known as Domic, was designed for Skigin by Australian architect Noel Robinson. In total, the entrepreneur spent three years on construction. As Willis noted, the main feature of the house is its remote location in seclusion. Inside the building there are six bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a spa, a cinema, a gym and a study where conferences can be held. The one-hectare site also has seven parking spaces and a 25-meter pool overlooking the ocean.
Evgeny Skigin is a St. Petersburg businessman, co-owner of the Konoplex agro-industrial holding in the Penza region, which is engaged in the cultivation and processing of non-narcotic hemp. Initially, the entrepreneur started his business in Holland, where, according to 2018, he made a fortune, but after a while he decided to start production in Russia in order to save money on land lease. In 2020, Skigin also organized the production of cold-pressed oils.
