European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde will assume leadership of two key Bank for International Settlements economic groups, succeeding Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell. Powell, who has chaired the Global Economy Meeting and Economic Consultative Committee since 2019, will hand over the roles to Lagarde in May.
