Rail connectivity between Bengaluru and coastal regions has been improved with the extension of the Vande Bharat Express. This service now connects Bengaluru directly to Madgaon, passing through key locations like Hassan and Udupi. Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy advocated for this extension to boost tourism and strengthen regional economy. The train is expected to cater to the rising passenger demand on this popular route.
