A queer romance film, Pillion is adapted from the Adam Mars-Jones novel Box Hill. It stars Harry as a timid man named Colin and Alexander as a dominant man named Ray. The movie explores their “transgressive sadomasochistic relationship.”
Harry Lighton makes his directorial debut for this film. It has already received significant acclaim and picked up several awards at festivals, like Best Screenplay at Cannes.
Earlier in November, the True Blood alum received the Stockholm Achievement Award at the 2025 Stockholm Film Festival, alongside a gala premiere of the film.
Pillion will be released in the U.S. by A24 on February 6, 2026.
