VISITING a toy store is all fun and games… until your toddler starts shouting and refuses to leave without a pile of teddies and boxes of Lego.

Parents know how daunting being in a toy shop can be – there’s loads of frustration, shouting and tears (and not just from the child…).

Like most mums and dads, Devin Alexander, New York Times bestselling author and celebrity chef, used to struggle with the issue – until she came up with a genius hack.

The savvy mum, who regularly shares parenting advice on social media, took to Instagram to reveal how she deals with tantrums at toy stores.

And according to her, there’s no continuous ‘no’ on repeat either.

”I never say ‘no’ to my four-year-old when we’re out and about shopping or doing anything,” Devin claimed in the video.

”This way, I never have to say ‘no’ – which is amazing.”

Not only does this genius hack makes visiting toy stores a breeze, the folder of photos is also great for those relatives and family friends who don’t know what to get for the child’s present.

”I already know what she wants!

”That is brilliant omg,” one exclaimed.

Another wrote: ”The second part is great, with the folder and the list idea.

”But the “never telling her no” part? Not a great plan.”

Many also had differing opinions about not saying ‘no’, such as this viewer who thought: ”I prefer saying no. It builds discipline and teaches them how to behave and the consequences of misbehaving.”
