Russian ship owner reveals details of NATO soldiers boarding

The owner of the Russian cargo ship “Adler”, NB Shipping Company, has revealed details of the boarding of soldiers of the Greek Navy, which is part of NATO. The words of the representatives of the organization are quoted by RBC.

“From a military helicopter, four soldiers of the Greek Navy landed on the deck of the ship (…). After a conversation with the captain and a visual inspection of the vessel, the fact of finding the prohibited cargo was not established, ”the company said in a statement and it is specified that the actions of the soldiers were correct, they acted within the framework of international law.

Earlier it was reported that on January 11, a group of NATO special forces boarded the ship “Adler” to check the ship for military cargo on board. The check was carried out as part of monitoring compliance with the arms embargo in Libya, the operation on which was launched by the European Union on April 1.
