Tork Construction of Chagrin Falls Ohio scammed me!
I hired Tork Construction out of Chagrin Falls OH 3 months ago, to renovate my home here in Hampton VA. We needed a new roof, the front facade and rear facade to be remade. The owner of the company was very nice at first, told me they're an honest, ethical run family business. So I believed him throughout all our phone conversations.
The total job for a new roof, new front and rear facade was quoted at $56,000 for the total project with materials. He said he needed $20,000 up front to start the project, as a down payment. After signing his service agreement, I forwarded the $20,000 to begin the job.
1 week later, they brought a small crew to begin construction at my home, and began to tear the old roof open, along with tearing open the front and rear of the home. I thought everything was going to plan, until week 2 came, and no crew members showed up anymore?
I contacted Tony the owner, to ask him what's going on. He told me at the time that his crew got pulled away to a different job temporarily, on an emergency basis and that the crew will come back to my home to continue the job the following week.
That led to every week me and Tony going back and fourth, as his crew never showed up again to continue the work, while holding my $20,000. Tony then said that he's not "confident" that I'll even pay him for the completion of the job, if they continued work, manipulatively trying to find an excuse not to come back to the job site, and just hold on to my $20,000 indefinitely.

Further research into this company, and I get with other past clients that all say the same thing. They take an up front down payment, hide a clause in the contract that allows them to stretch out the project timing for an indefinite amount of time, and drag it out as long as possible till you either forfeit your down payment or take them to court for your money back!
This family owned business are scammers! They only register two employees as payrolled employees, so they can pay their own family members under the table, to evade taxes! I'm also going to report them to the IRS for tax fraud.
Upon doing a deep dive search on the web of the owner of this company, I found a disturbing audio clip with the owner of the company, plotting to cyberstalk people and make fake stories about them, audio link of the owner below, he sounds completely mentally unstable when he doesn't know he's being recorded. I'm warning anyone who was approached by Tork Construction out of Chagrin Falls Ohio to NOT sign any contract with this company, without a time limit in the service contract. I am talking to an attorney now to see if we can escalate this as a class action lawsuit, as I have been contacted by many other clients who were victimized by them.
