France DOWNPLAYS migrants crossing Channel - ‘Tiny fraction compared to Med’

FRENCH government spokesman Benjamin Griveaux on Friday appeared to downplay the recent increase in the number of migrants crossing the English Channel from France, saying that the spate of crossings could not be compared to the crisis in the Mediterranean, which remains the world’s deadliest migrant route.
