Jacob Evans III assigned to the G League - again

Evans has struggled to find his footing at the pro level, so the team has bounced him between Oakland (where he’s provided depth and garbage time opportunities) and Santa Cruz (where he’s able to develop further).
The 21-year old wing played more than five minutes during the Warriors blowout victory over the New York Knicks on Tuesday, and totaled 2 points and 1 rebound on 1-1 shooting. It was the most minutes he had played since logging more than 11 in a blowout loss to the Houston Rockets back on November 15.
Evans has played in 21 games for the Warriors, and is averaging just 4.4 minutes per contest. In six games in the G League, he’s averaging 9.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game.
In all likelihood, he’ll be back in Golden State soon . . . and then back in Santa Cruz again soon.
