[Men's Basketball] Tigers weather Blue Raiders' rally, win 73-69
Georgetown College men's basketball team looked to defend home court once again, hosting Mid-South Conference foe Lindsey Wilson College. While the game seemed well in hand early, a league showdown is never decided until the final horn.
The No. 9 Tigers (16-1, 2-0) watched a 15-point lead sway to a five-point deficit before weathering the storm for a 73-69 win.
Troy Steward led the charge with 16 points as all seven Tigers to play scored. Jacob Conway came up with several big three pointers for 13 points and was active on defense with a game-high four steals. Eljay Cowherd continues to run the offense, playing his third straight 40-minute game, chipping in 12 points and three assists. Brodricks Jones hit a key late three to stem the tide in Georgetown's favor and finished with 11 points.
