Such is the level of competition that Pant finds himself fighting with former skipper MS Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik for a place in the ODI squad. And as things stand, he is not part of the side. "One thing that goes in favour of Dhoni is that because this is the World Cup, you need somebody with his level of calmness," said former India batsman Sanjay Manjrekar.
