British Prime Minister Theresa May has made a last-ditch effort to convince MPs to back her Brexit deal, warning against the recklessly rejecting her deal. Ms May says her deal honoured the referendum vote and insisted abandoning Brexit would be a ‘subversion of the democratic process’. Her speech comes after the European Commission President Jean-Claude Junker published a letter assuring the EU does not want the Northern Ireland backstop to last forever.
