From Italy: Agent of £13.5m star tells club 25-year-old wants to join Arsenal

According to Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira, Denis Suarez’s agent has asked Barcelona to get a deal agreed to allow the midfielder to join Arsenal this month as talks continue to drag.

Suarez has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates this winter after Unai Emery admitted the club are working hard to bring in attacking reinforcements after Danny Welbeck was ruled out for the season with a broken ankle.

While Suarez is not a typical winger, he played out wide during a loan spell at Sevilla where he worked under Emery and the boss confirmed earlier this month that he sees the player as a winger.
