[Men's Basketball] MBB: ERAU Rallies to Upend UAV; Simpson Soars to the Top
The Week of Jan. 7 - 13 in Review
Embry-Riddle turned a six-point deficit into an impressive 69-61 home win over reigning California Pacific Conference champion Antelope Valley. Nick Johnson started the second half off with a quick bucket that shrunk the lead to four, and a few minutes later the Eagles went on a 12-0 run that led an eight-point lead with just over 12 minutes to play. UAV, however, did not go quietly, as the Pioneers later strung together six consecutive to get within one of the Eagles. ERAU's Logan Skurdal hit a huge trey to give his team a bit of breathing room. Gilbert Ibarra then drained a three to provide the Eagles a seven-point cushion. Then, with six minutes left in the game, Ryan Skurdal connected on another 3-pointer to open a 10-point ERAU lead.
