Elizeu Zaleski vs. Curtis Millender slated for UFC Wichita

An exciting welterweight tilt is on tap for the UFC’s March event in Wichita, Kansas.

It might not be a ranked opponent up next for Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos, but it is someone who should produce a really fun fight.

A report from Combate says Zaleski will face Curtis Millender on the UFC’s first appearance in Wichita, Kansas. The UFC has not officially announced this themselves, although that’s expected soon.

Zaleski (20-5) has won six straight since dropping his first UFC bout to Nicolas Dalby. The Brazilian has earned Fight of the Night honors three times, and is coming off a flying knee KO of Luigi Vendramini at UFC Sao Paulo last September. One of his highest profile wins was a spinning wheel kick KO of Sean Strickland at UFC 224, becoming the first to stop Strickland in his MMA career.

Millender (17-3) has won his last nine fights, with three of them coming inside the Octagon. He had a brilliant debut showing when he knocked out Thiago Alves last February, and followed that up with a decision victory over Max Griffin. Most recently, the 31-year-old prevailed against Siyar Bahadurzada at UFC 232.

UFC Wichita streams live on ESPN+ on Saturday, March 9th. The five-round main event is a heavyweight clash between Junior dos Santos and Derrick Lewis.
