The Aeronautical Development Agency and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited have begun work on redesigning the canopy and put it on the test bed, sources on the project said. The team has reworked the frame to accommodate the new canopy which will be 24mm thick as opposed to the existing 16mm. This canopy is likely to be used in the advanced Tejas Mk-1A aircraft.
