Eight people have been arrested in Melbourne for their alleged involvement in a highly organised Vietnamese crime ring. It is alleged international airline staff were used to import high-grade heroin and ice into airports in Sydney and Melbourne. Australian Federal Police say the syndicate has been operating for years, and have made more than 20 successful smuggling runs to Australia. The investigation is ongoing.
