Watch the moment NY's Tappan Zee bridge demolished with explosives

The demolition of a section of the Tappan Zee Bridge over the Hudson River took place in the New York City region on Tuesday.

Explosives were used to remove the eastern part of the former bridge between Westchester and Rockland counties.

Hundreds of spectators, equipped with binoculars, gathered on both sides of the river to watch the controlled explosion.
