Breaking: IGP appoints Frank Mba as new police PRO
Emerging reports by Leadership claimed that the new inspector general of police, Adamu Mohammed, has appointed Frank Mba as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Nigeria Police.
The reports showed that Mba studied law at the University of Lagos, and was called to the Nigerian bar in 2002.
The police spokesman, who hails from Ezimo in Udenu local government area of Enugu state, was the best graduating cadet inspector in academics at the Police Academy, Kano, in 1993.

He rose up the police ladder and was promoted to assistant superintendent of police in 1999, deputy superintendent of police in 2003, superintendent of police in 2006 and chief superintendent of police in 2012.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that the former assistant inspector general of police, Abubakar Mohammed Adamu, took over as the new police boss after crucial meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Villa on Tuesday, January 15.
Adamu was sighted heading to the office of the chief of staff to the president, Abba Kyari, on Tuesday morning, prompting reports that he would take over from Ibrahim Idris.
But in a series of photo tweets by Bashir Ahmed, the personal assistant to the president on new media, the former IGP, Ibrahim Idris, was reported to have taken his successor, Adamu, to President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House.
In a related development, President Buhari approved the appointment of Vincent Isegbe as the director general of the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS).
The appointed following the president’s assent to the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (Establishment) Bill, 2018, NAQS became an agency of the government.

Isegbe’s appointment is for five years. He is expected to be responsible for institutionalising the administrative and management structures requisite for operationalising the paramilitary status of the agency.
