The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is the electoral body that was established in 1998 to oversee elections.
Recently, independent electoral commission vacancies was declared open in order to hire more staff for the elections.

This announcement was preceded by the presentation of a 33-page document which was signed by the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu. The paper established directions and rules for holding the elections in 2019.

On the Twitter page of INEC, you can see the following independent electoral commission vacancies:
- Registration Area Centre (RAC) Manager
- Presiding Officer (SPO)
- Registration Area Technical Support (RATECH)
- Presiding Officer (PO)
- Assistant Presiding Officer (APO)
According to INEC news the portal- pres.inecnigeria.org. where you can register, was opened on January, 15 at 8:00 AM. It will be closed on Monday, January 21, 2019.
