Breaking: Ondo state House of Reps member dumps PDP, defects to APC
Honourable Mike Omogbehin, the lawmaker representing Okitipupa/ Irele federal constituency at the national assembly has on Wednesday, January 16, defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Omogbehin in a letter addressed to the speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara and made available to Legit.ng said he has heeded the call of his people in dumping the PDP for the APC.

“I wish to inform you that I have formally resigned my membership of the People Democratic Party (PDP), in an earlier letter to the chairman of my ward.
“My over seventeen years unflinching loyalty and passion, as well as the passion of overwhelming majority of the good people of my constituency for the party is dead.
”I am therefore very pleased to inform you that I have decided to agree with my people in pitching my tent with the All Progressives Congress (APC), in continuation of my political journey," the letter read.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that All Progressives Congress (APC) seems not be have put behind its lingering internal crisis as the Imo state chapter of the ruling party filed a contempt suit against the national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.

At a press conference in Owerri, the Imo state capital on Wednesday, January 16, the APC chairman in the state, Daniel Nwafor, said the contempt suit was filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja in order to checkmate the excess of the party Oshiohmole, who he described as a wheel in the fulcrum of the party's progress.
